Offaly County Council seeks expressions of interest/applications from employees wishing to take part in the 2022 Cycle to Work Scheme. This is a salary sacrifice arrangement whereby the employee agrees to forego part of his or her salary to cover the costs associated with the purchase of a bicycle/safety equipment. The bicycle and equipment are for the purposes of cycling to and from work or must be used by the employee for qualifying journeys.

 

It is proposed to limit the 2022 scheme to 25 employees. If there are more than 25 expressions of interest/applications in the scheme, the names of eligible employees will be drawn by lot and applications will be notified. Applicants’ contracts of employment must extend to at least 31^st December, 2022. Salary deductions will begin in January and end in December 2022. 

Only applications received from today’s date will be considered. Bicycles or equipment purchased by an employee before they have had approval to enter the scheme in 2022 will not be covered. All applicants are requested to submit the fully completed application form, appendices and quotations by the 3rd November 2021.
